The Federal Government via the National Broadcasting Corporation, has made firm on its decision to ban Olamide’s anthem and hit track of the moment, Wo. This is coming a few days after the Federal Ministry of Health had openly aired it displeasure regarding visuals to Wo (Read HERE). In its own opinion, the video portrays a bad message that encourages second-hand smoking. However, NBC did not stop there as they also went further to ban four other hit tunes, Wavy Level by YBNL boss Olamide; FALL and IF by DMW boss, Davido and also Living Things by 9ice. You would recall that Falz had earlier called out music acts who entertain lavish lifestyles and also fraud. In view of Falz comment, 9ice’s “Living Things”, was the major talking point. Apparently, we would not be hearing these hit tunes on our air waves again. See the list below:-

A young man in his early twenties identified as Ifeanyi Dike has been arrested and paraded by the Rivers state police Command for allegedly raping and killing an eight year old girl in Port Harcourt. Spokesman of the Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni while parading the suspect at the Command Headquarters in Port Harcourt said, Dike was arrested at Eliozu in Obio-Akpo Local Government area of the state. Omoni said Dike had allegedly raped, killed and removed vital parts of the girl’s body before he was arrested by local security in the area, adding that there was a plan by the suspect to use his victim for ritual. BOMADI – An armed group, earlier this morning, invaded Ojobo community, host community to Shell Nigeria Ltd, in Burutu local government area, Delta State, shooting sporadically with many indigenes sustaining various degrees of injuries, and also destroying property worth millions of naira in the oil-rich community. Ojobo community is approximately 30 km away from Bomadi, headquarters of Bomadi local government area, Delta State.

Barely seven days that gunmen killed several worshippers at St. Philips Catholic Church Ozubulu, Anambra State, the assailants attacked another church in the state, killing a policeman and two civilians. This Sunday, the gunmen struck at the Assemblies of God Church on the Oguta Road Onitsha, Anambra State.  According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen opened fire on the church members where they killed two children and a policeman. The shot policeman was providing security while church service was going on at Assemblies of God Church, Oguta road Onitsha. The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Garba Umar confirmed the incident to journalists.

A suspected motorcycle thief has been set ablaze by a mob in Dabi village, near Kwali.  Witnesses said the incident happened at about 4:00p.m. on Sunday in the community on the Abuja-Lokoja expressway.  One of the witnesses who introduced himself as Yahuza, said the mob pursued the suspected thief from Gwagwalada to Dabi after he allegedly snatched a motorcycle.  He said the suspect abandoned the machine and took to his heels but that the mob caught up with him and started beating him.  “Some of the people used dangerous objects to stab him all over the body, while others hurled big stones at him, until he became unconscious. They now brought a tyre and set him ablaze,” he said. The police have apprehended some suspects allegedly involved in the killing of 12 people at the St. Philips Catholic Church in Ozubulu area of Anambra State, a report by Channels Television said. It did not give further details. Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, who visited the scene of the attack, had promised that investigations would commence immediately to bring the perpetrators to book. Giving an account of the incident on Sunday, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Garba Umar, told Channels Television that the gunmen went into the church during an early morning mass and shot sporadically at worshippers. Emmanuel Adi aka Oboy Emma, the suspect, also butchered a dog belonging to one of his victims. The suspect, a senior high school (SHS) graduate, also butchered himself with the same sharp machete after the heinous act. It is suspected that Oboy Emma was under the influence of some illegal substance like Tramadol, which got him intoxicated. The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday afternoon around 12:30pm at Ayokoa in the Adanse North District of Ashanti Region. A Niger Delta militant group, Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA) has insisted that its earlier threat to declare Niger Delta Republic on October 1 remains sacrosanct. Spokesperson for the group, Edmos Ayayeibo, in a statement issued yesterday, July 31, said there was no going back on their decision to declare Niger Delta Republic because the Nigerian state has “lost its unity.” The group said, “The October 1 declaration of a republic in the Niger Delta is sacrosanct because Nigeria has lost its unity. To save lives on both sides, the Nigerian government should maintain peace, compose themselves or face total war. “We the Avengers have always carried out our words.
